I Want Everyone to Be Free

But people don’t want to free themselves

Freedom is something we all long for.
Ever since the dawn of civilization, we have been fighting for freedom. Countless people lay their lives fighting and defending freedom. We adore freedom so much we’re even willing to die for it.
We admire freedom like it’s the ultimate goal of life — our deepest desire. Some fight for their own freedom, and others fight because of everyone’s freedom.
But what is freedom?
According to the Cambridge Dictionary, freedom is “the condition or right of being able or allowed to do, say, think, etc., whatever you want to, without being controlled or limited.”
According to this definition, to be ultimately free, one should be able to do whatever he wants — including harming, injuring, or even killing whoever he wants to.
Now, that doesn’t really seem like freedom.
We’re all probably yelling at the screen because there’s NO WAY that’s freedom. How is that freedom when people aren’t even given the right to live? They could be murdered or imprisoned simply because the person has true freedom and can do whatever he wants. That’s obviously not freedom!
So, the best solution to achieving true freedom for everyone would be isolating everyone from each other. Now, we can all do whatever we want.
That doesn’t really sound like freedom, either.
Unfortunately, we live in a world where freedom is absent. According to this definition, we could kill others without being stopped if we had true freedom. Yet, everyone would say that killing should be penalized.
So freedom is impossible.
Freedom is impossible, given that most people aren’t trying to look for or fight for it. Instead of freedom, there are more people who are longing for control.
Yep, we long for control and are willing to die to gain power. That’s how much we value it.
Frankly, we live a life where we want to control — we want to control things and people. When we’re controlled by somebody else, we rebel. We fit for it not for freedom but simply because we have a common enemy — whoever’s in control.
Freedom is not equality. Say we win the fight for democracy, for freedom. What do we do? History tells us that we go back to dictatorship. Rules might have changed: we ruled with might back then, and today, we rule with money.
Equality is that everybody has equal rights, which can be easily achieved by putting everyone in solitary. But that’s not freedom because we don’t have control over the things around us, over the people around us.
We’re trapped in the realm of control, and most of us aren’t even realizing it.
I want us to be free, free from control, and free from the idea of control…
Freedom is when we realize we don’t need control, that we no longer need to fight, that we’re filled with love, and that we share that love with others.
Freedom is being loved.
When we’re truly loved, we’re no longer insecure. When we feel secure, we no longer want satisfaction through control — we realize that being loved feels much better than having control over everything.
Not just being loved, sharing that love makes it even better. The powerful thing about love is that when we’re loved, we also share that love with others. When we’re free, we want to share this freedom as well.
Sadly, many don’t want to be loved — we only wish to control. It’s so painful to see people fight so hard because they want love, yet they reject the very thing that gets rid of their insecurity, making them whole.
It’s hard because to be loved, we must first get rid of control, which enslaves us from being free. And sadly, we’re too scared to let go and embrace the real solution to freedom.
I want everyone to be free, I want to share the love with everyone, and I want everyone to be loved.
